About Chinese Medicine. . .

Chinese Medicine has been used successfully for 3000 years in the treatment of chronic and acute illnesses and injuries, as well as for mental healthcare and preventive healthcare. Acupuncture and Chinese herbs influence the endocrine, nervous, circulatory, and immune systems to restore balance, vitality, and well-being.

Within Chinese medicine, the body is viewed much like an individual eco system, wherein  balance is essential for health. If the balance of an eco-system is disrupted, its vitality is impaired and its sustainability is compromised. In Chinese medicine, we strive to recognize the imbalances at hand, to nourish that which is depleted, to soothe or disperse that which is excessive, and to support that which is balanced and thriving.

The Chinese medical system has its own comprehensive model of human anatomy which often illuminates connections and symptom patterns that may be overlooked by standard medicine.
